Current Queensland Regulations
We have continued working with the Office of Liquor & Gaming around the specificities of our liquor licence and its impact on community participation.
As a result of the ongoing dialogue and some operational adjustments, ALL members (vaccinated & unvaccinated) will be able to participate in our local competitions and SQJBC program moving forward.
Proof of full vaccination will remain a condition of entry for events where our liquor licence is in use, including NBL1 and third-party venue hire.
Consequently, all canteen operations need to be fully closed until further notice, pending an adjustment to our liquor licence. No purchases, including non-alcoholic items, can be made via the canteen.
These operational adjustments allow us to align with the direction from Sport & Recreation Queensland around participation in community sport.
We will continue to prioritise the health & safety of our members through protocols including masks, check-in, sanitisation, and social distancing – as per advice from Queensland Health.
Masks are currently required inside the JBS Arena.
Members are encouraged to wear one outside the stadium when they cannot physically social distance.
Anyone who has visited an exposure site in Queensland must:
1. immediately travel by private transport directly to your home or accommodation and quarantine
2. get tested at your earliest opportunity
3. complete the online contact tracing form by clicking on the name for the relevant location in the table below. A pop up window will appear with specific advice for that location and a link to the form.
If you are unable to complete the contact tracing form please call 134 COVID (134 268).
4. continue to quarantine even after receiving a negative result. After you complete the contact tracing form you will be contacted by Queensland Health.
Check in Queensland App
Check in through the QLD app is required upon entry. Basketball Queensland encourages all members, including players and their families, coaches, staff, and volunteers to download the Check in Queensland App to assist with contact tracing.
