𝘾𝙊𝘼𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙎 𝙒𝙀𝙇𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙀 𝙏𝙊 𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙉𝘿 𝙎𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎: The program will also support coaches wanting to learn and those that are applying for Representative coaching to understand what success looks like in these age groups, and what IBA want to focus on with athlete development.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of FRDP is to give both athletes and coaches an opportunity to learn, improve, and engage with the Ipswich Force Representative Program - While some athletes or coaches may not be selected to represent Ipswich, we are giving them the best opportunity to understand what it takes, where they can improve or some focus areas for a better chance in the future.
Through FRDP our goal is to improve on athletes and coaches’ concepts of the “4 Sections of the game” and make them better decision makers - while showing coaches how to create environments centred around the athletes, making mistakes a positive learning experience. Improving coaches by showing them key areas of attention, the level of detail and how we can guide athletes on what we want them to do, and why. Improving athletes by giving them greater understanding and lots of repetition in the same section of the game for an entire session, while including development of skills, decision making, and lots of live play to prepare athletes for real situations.
